ABOUT US

ERSH TRAVELS was organized by Andrey Ershov. It is a small but very friendly group of Russian people who are very experienced mountaineers and alpine skiers and who have done a lot of climbs, treks and expeditions in all mountain regions of the ex-USSR. Since 1991 ERSH TRAVELS has been working with foreign mountaineers, alpine skiers and mountain walkers as a small private travel agency and during this period we have done a lot of different mountain programmes for many groups from Western Europe, South Africa and America. Having a rich experience of the successful climbs and organizational activities, wide contacts and good local partners in the different mountain areas ERSH TRAVELS can do mountain trips of any kind not only in Russia but also in the mountains of Central Asia, China and other regions of the world.

Andrey Ershov Andrey Ershov , the director of ERSH TRAVELS, mountain guide, expedition manager and organizer of all mountain programmes. Since 1970 he has done a lot of summer and winter climbs and expeditions in the different mountain regions of Russia, Central Asia, China and Alaska. Besides normal ascents he has done many ski climbs and ski descents from the Caucasian summits including Elbrus and from the top of Muztagh-Ata in the Kun-Lun. His climbing experience includes:
- Mt. Elbrus, 5642 m (more than 23 times); Ushba South, 4710 m (SW Face); Ushba North, 4694 m (NW Face); Donguzorun, 4468 m (North Face); Chatyn, 4368 m (North Face); Ullukara, 4302 m (NE Face, winter ascent) and many other mountains in the Central Caucasus
- Maria, 4790 m; Chapdara, 5049 m and other mountains in the Pamiro-Alai
- Moskovskaya Pravda Peak, 5739 m; Lenin Peak, 7134 m in the Pamirs
- Oguzbashi, 5168 m (NE Face, new route); Khan-Tengri Peak, 6995 m and other mountains in Tien-Shan
- Muztagh-Ata, 7546 m; Kala Peak, 5643 m (first ascent); Tuyuk Peak, 6161 m (second ascent); Peak 5986 m (first ascent); Peak 6013 m (first ascent) in the Kun-Lun
- Mt. McKinley, 6194 m in Alaska

Marina Ershova Marina Ershova , the head mountain guide and expedition manager of ERSH TRAVELS. One of the best and strongest Russian climbers, number 2 in the Russian Woman's National Climbing Team - 2002. Since 1976 she has climbed many summits in the Caucasus, the Pamirs, Tien-Shan and the Himalayas including:
- Mt. Elbrus, 5642 m (more than 44 times)
- Korzhenevskaya Peak, 7105 m (in 1989, 1990)
- Lenin Peak, 7134 m (in 1991, 1992)
- Communism Peak, 7495 m (in 1989, 1991)
- Khan-Tengri Peak, 6995 m (in 1992)
- Pobeda Peak, 7439 m (in 1992)
- Cho-Oyu, 8201 m (in 2000)
- Shisha Pangma, 8012 m (in 2002)
- Mt.Everest, till 7500 m (in 2003)

Andrey (Bukh) Ershov Andrey Junior Ershov (Bukh) , the mountain guide of ERSH TRAVELS. He is a graduate of the Russian mountaineering school and has 9-year experience of climbing in the Caucasus and Central Asia including Mt. Elbrus, 5642 m (9 times).

Viktor (Kasya) Ershov Viktor Ershov (Kasya) , the head mountain guide of our Elbrus programmes. He is a graduate of the Russian mountaineering school and the Russian school of mountain rescue, he has 10-year experience of climbing in the Caucasus including spring, summer and autumn ascents of Mt. Elbrus, 5642 m (from the South, North and West sides, more than 34 times) and a hard trek around Mount Elbrus through the seven passes of 2889 - 3669 m.

Maria Shaferova (Sdobnikova) Maria Shaferova (Sdobnikova) , the development manager of ERSH TRAVELS. Besides her city work she likes mountaineering and she climbed about thirty 4000- and 5000-m peaks in Central Asia and in the Caucasus including Mt. Elbrus, 5642 m (from the South and from the West, 4 times).
