(21-day variant Kashgar - Kashgar, ascents of climbed and unclimbed mountains)
The area of the Olimde and Tokuyrukuningaez glaciers is located in the Western Kun-Lun on the northern side of the North part of the Muztagh-Ata Range. More than ten beautiful peaks of 5200 - 6100 m and above with snow-ice slopes, steep ridges and rock walls are located there and only one peak was climbed before our Kun-Lun expeditions - a small team of Dan Mazur (USA) climbed Tuyuk Peak (6161 m) from the side of the Kuksay Glacier.
In 2001 our South African expedition (expedition leader Mrs. Ulrike Kiefer) did the second ascent of Tuyuk Peak from the Kuksay Glacier. In 2007 our Dutch expedition (expedition leader Mr. Roland Valckenborg) did two first ascents of unclimbed peaks 5521 m and 5400 m but other mountains are still unclimbed.
