BRITISH BELUKHA - 2005 EXPEDITION

In July - August a small British group of two climbers - Mr. Richard Russell and Mr. Christopher Carter - visited the Altay Mountains in Siberia. This expedition was served by Ersh Travels and two Russian guides - Mr. Alexandr Parshin and Mr. Pavel Yastrebov - accompanied the group. British climbers arrived in Barnaul on July 18 and during 20 days they did several treks in the area of the Akkem and Kucherla valleys, visited the Yarlu and Tekelyu valleys and Mr. Richard Russell with Russian guides successfully summited Mt. Belukha (4506 m).
