ESTONIAN KOSKULAK PEAK - 2011 EXPEDITION

The Estonian Koskulak Peak - 2011 Expedition was organized by Mr. Ullar Pold with a help of Ersh Travels and included 7 Estonian climbers: Mr. Ullar Pold (expedition leader), Mrs. Tiina Tamm, Mr. Olavi Vaino, Mr. Kaupo Tiislar, Mr. Arno Sults, Mr. Koit Teder and Mr. Toomas Tarve. After good acclimatization and installing of the altitude camps Mr. Ullar Pold, Mrs. Tiina Tamm, Mr. Olavi Vaino, Mr. Kaupo Tiislar, Mr. Arno Sults and Mr. Koit Teder successfully summited Koskulak Peak (7028 m) on August 3, this was the first Estonian ascent of Koskulak Peak.

Here are some details about the expedition.
July 16: Arrival in Kashgar.
July 17: Kashgar - Karakul Lake, night in yurt for better acclimatization.
July 18: Arrival at Base Camp (~ 4500 m) near the Kalaxong Glacier.
July 19: Rest at Base Camp.
July 20: Rest at Base Camp.
July 21: Ascent to ABC (~ 5200 m), installation of three tents there and the first night at ABC.
July 22: Coming back to Base Camp.
July 23: Rest at Base Camp.
July 24: Rest at Base Camp.
July 25: Ascent to ABC after lunch at Base Camp and the second night at ABC.
July 26: Ascent to Camp 1 (~ 5850 m), installation of two tents there and the first night at Camp 1.
July 27: Fixing 300 m ropes on the altitude between 6000 m and 6100 m, coming back to Camp 1 and the second night at Camp 1.
July 28: Coming back to Base Camp.
July 29: Rest at Base Camp.
July 30: Rest at Base Camp.
July 31: Ascent to ABC after lunch at Base Camp and the third night at ABC.
August 01: Ascent to Camp 1 and the third night at Camp 1.
August 02: Ascent to Camp 2 (~ 6200 m) and the first night at Camp 2.
August 03: Group (6 persons) started the climb from Camp 2 at 9:30 (Beijing time) and reached the summit of Koskulak Peak at 15:45, coming back to Camp 2 and the second night at Camp 2.
August 04: Coming back to Base Camp.
August 05: Ascent to ABC to take down the tents and garbage.
August 06: Coming back to Kashgar.
